Creator of chris – murner
Chris Murner, leather goods designer for 40 years, offers a wide range of collections for everyday wear.
It all began at the age of 15, when Chris Murner discovered leather goods and began his CFC apprenticeship in leather goods. Today, she’s just as passionate about the richness of this profession. Each bag is made exclusively in their workshops in Carouge, behind the boutique-gallery L’ANTRE-PEAUX. Our leathers come from eco-friendly European tanneries, and are carefully selected according to the design project. The exotic leathers come from destocking or leftover stock from leather goods manufacturers in the 70s. It undertakes not to buy exotic leathers from commercial supply networks, so as not to contribute to the abusive market in skins, but also to respect the preservation of species. She loves creating worlds through a variety of themes. But also to collaborate with craftsmen to challenge the limits of expression of elegant everyday objects, for women of all generations.
She is also the last leatherwork trainer in Geneva, and has already trained several apprentices after helping to reintroduce the leatherwork CFC in 2012 with a pilot school-enterprise training project for the métiers d’Art.
She also trained her children:
- Simon has opened his own workshop in Plan-Les-Ouates, Sellerie Moto Dubouloz, trained in saddlery, and has just won the Prix de la Relève des Métiers d’Art organized by the Association des Métiers d’Art.
- Camille, who now works alongside her and has developed her own range of bags: C.C mère et fille created in 2017.
Today, Chris Murner opens his workshop for Master classes in Leather Goods for adults wishing to retrain, and also offers theme-based courses. Detailed information can be found under Training tab.
Creator of C • C Mère et fille.
Camille D. grew up in an artistic environment, between a leather goods workshop and an architecture studio. She initially pursued a degree in psychology but then decided, during a gap year between her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in 2017, to launch C • C Mère et fille.
For the past eight years, Camille has been designing each collection. To bring certain designs to life, she trained with Chris Murner to learn the techniques needed for production. In addition to design, Camille also manages communications and marketing for both brands.
At the same time, she works part-time in the psychosocial field, an area where she finds true fulfillment by supporting others.
The C•C Mother and Daughter collection combines elegance and minimalism. Its subtle originality lies in the combination of subtle shades and different leather textures.
Camille selects leathers and materials primarily from factories with excess inventory and eco-friendly European tanneries, in order to avoid overproduction of leather and offer high-quality materials. As a result, each piece is unique—or nearly so!
C • C Mother and Daughter is, above all, a family story that celebrates the artisanal craftsmanship passed down from mother to daughter, as well as a love of beautiful materials and colors.
